Layla Holzer, a BA (Hons) Illustration graduate from 2013, was recently invited to install her Theatre of Shadows at the Arnolfini in Bristol.
Layla’s theatre installation featured a shadow puppet film of her own making called ‘Wondertales’ inspired by the magic realist stories of Angela Carter.
The installation formed part of a conference around Angela Carter that was hosted at the Arnolfini as a part of the Get Angela Carter festival taking place in Bristol at the moment.
The festival celebrates Angela Carter’s Bristol connections around the 25th anniversary of her death and draws together various activities and events happening in Bristol.
