BA Photographic Practice student Tony Charles is mounting an exhibition of portrait photography entitled “Pioneers of Welsh Pop”. The exhibition forms part of a second year project capturing images of some of the leading Welsh pop, rock and entertainment icons who started performing in the 1960s, determined to help preserve the Welsh language and culture. From over 1,200 images taken from photo shoots in North and South Wales, 12 fine art black & white prints have been selected.
The exhibition is launched at 6pm, Monday 25th June at Yr Hen Lyfrgell, (The Old Library), The Hayes, Cardiff.
