CSAD student teams win awards at the 2018 Big Ideas Wales competition

The 2018 Big Ideas Wales Competition and Showcase of Entrepreneurial Talent set out to find the best business, business idea and enterprise activity amongst young people in Wales. These activities could involve teams or individuals raising money for a charity, taking part in the Welsh Baccalaureate Enterprise and Employability Challenge or being passionate about their own business or business idea.

Two teams (‘Echo’ and ‘Brew’) made up of CSAD students from a range of courses including BA Graphic Communication and BA Textiles were awarded prizes at this year’s event.

The Environmental Impact Award which rewards an enterprise activity that reduces or solves an environmental problem was given to team ‘Echo’. For their winning entry they were awarded £500.

The Team Spirit Award is selected from all individual applications received which showcases the talent and abilities of the Future Welsh Entrepreneur of the year. The winning team, ‘Brew’, won £500 to put back into the business to help them become more of an established company.

Congratulations to both teams!
