Ingrid Murphy travels to China as Research delegate to examine definitions of ‘maker’ in Xi’an and Chengdu

Academic Lead for Transition and Boundaries at CSAD, Ingrid Murphy is travelling to Xi’an and Chengdu in China to explore maker culture in the region.

Following an explosion in the number of makerspaces opening following strategic government support, Ingrid alongside fellow researcher Gemma May Latham has endeavoured to study the different approaches being taken in educational departments across the region.
